Official Work Description

This classification allows the scopes of work permitted by the commercial C-14 Fencing and the residential R-14 Fencing licenses.

C-14: This classification allows the licensee to install and repair: 

1. Metal, wood, and cement block fencing 
2. Automatic gates 
3. Fire access strobes 
4. Highway guard rails 
5. Cattle guards 
6. Low voltage U.L. approved electrical fence protective devices of less than 25 volts and 100 watts

This classification does not allow the licensee to install or repair retaining walls.

R-14: This classification allows the licensee to install and repair: 

1. Metal, wood, and cement block fencing 
2. Automatic gates

Experience Requirement & Documentation

The qualifying party must show at least 3 years of experience in the trade or classification being requested in a supervisory capacity.

Experience documentation may include employment history, self employment history, college degree in construction management, or out of state trade exam waiver.

Tests Required

Applicants for this license must pass the required trade exam and the Arizona Statutes and Rules exam.
